According to Bill George and Peter Sims, the True North is the internal compass that efficiently directs you through life. It embodies your essential human identity and represents the most fundamental component of who you are. Your orienting point—your fixed point in a continuously changing environment—keeps you on course as a leader.

He discussed the "Leadership Crisis," which he defined as the widespread lack of leadership in today's culture, notably in contexts related to business, politics, and government. He contends that there is no shortage of leadership among people; instead, the problem is that we have a misguided notion of what it means to be a leader, which hinders our capacity to play significant leadership roles in our communities.

The True North will lead the loyal leaders within us by empowering and being true to ourselves, even when many of us are not merely fortunate regarding leadership possibilities. Since every one of us is unique and possesses both talents and limitations, if we focus on identifying our True North, we will be guided in the correct route. How long have individuals been looking for the most critical leadership principles to help them become capable and effective leaders? According to Bill George, we can learn from the experiences and viewpoints of others, but aiming to be precisely like them will lead us to something other than our True North.

True North is a fantastic navigator in choosing the right course because it will lead us to wise decisions. This will assist us in developing into informed and capable leaders if we internalize all the lessons and recommendations. We can be great leaders; all we need to do is take advantage of the possibilities that present themselves, which is one of the greatest lessons I've learned from reading "True North." Because every leader has a unique leadership style, find the perfect fit that will help us succeed.

This lecture had a lasting impression on me. At any point in our lives, we can act and lead. Most of us don't realize that by being the first to start anything and giving it our all, we can change things from where we are. To make a difference, we are committed to dominating our field. We can enjoy each small step forward in this way. And as time goes on, we'll realize that we made a difference since we initiated the change when no one else did. That is a clear indication of a true leader who is heading in the right direction.

The book had a significant impact on me, particularly on how I perceive the world. Knowing your True North means being genuinely aware of who you are, how you behave in specific situations, and how you act or solve problems. When you become a leader, for instance, you will receive a lot of criticism about your leadership style, but if you know what you're doing and are true to yourself, you won't be affected by it. Instead, you will maintain your composure and continue with what you were doing until you have convinced them that their initial impression of you was incorrect.

I wholeheartedly encourage my classmates and underclass to read this book. We will leave the Academy and enter the real world in a few weeks. We will leave the Academy and enter the real world in a few weeks. Knowing our True North will be our compass as we navigate the challenges. This will guide us as we serve the Filipino people by our mandate: enforce the law, deter and prevent crime, maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community. It would be a great idea to teach them the value of knowing their True North so that when the time comes when they are about to leave the Academy as well, they are already prepared to face the outside world.
