General Paulino Santos

He was a military officer who became the Commanding General of the Philippine Army from May 6 to December 31, 1936. Upon his retirement, he served as a civilian administrator under President Manuel L. Quezon.
The city is named for General Paulino Santos, who directed the pioneer settlement (mostly by Christian Filipino migrants) and development of the Koronadal Valley that began in the mid-1930s. General Santos City is located at the head of Sarangani Bay of the Celebes Sea along the southern shore of Mindanao.
The Pride of General Santos City
In the center of the admiringly called General Santos City lies the Big celebration of the Tuna Festival where all things in tuna inspired are visible within the lively streets of the city. General Santos City celebrates this unique event every first week of September, earning the title of "Tuna Capital" of the nation. Given the abundance of yellow-fin tuna fish in its productive seas, it is widely acknowledged as one of the top tuna producers worldwide as well as in the Philippines. It is understandable why the locals of the area planned this significant event.

The Path I Chose
"If it scares you, it might be something good to try - Seth Godin

My Story
I am PCDT John Paul Andrade Labtic from the Tuna Capital of the Philippines and home of the champions, General Santos City; I am the eldest son of Joseph Labtic, a truck driver, and Menchie Labtic, who is a former OFW at Hongkong for almost 13 years. I went to General Santos City National High school under the Special Program in Sports and graduated with Honors. I tried my best to get a college scholarship, which is why I took the Mindanao State University entrance examination in General Santos City. I chose BSBA Business Economics, thinking I would become a business tycoon in the future, but when I graduated, I realized God had better plans for me.
My father is the one that influenced me; he wanted to become a policeman but wasn’t able to reach that because of poverty. He encouraged me to become part of the uniform service and a policeman, so I tried my luck and took up the PNPACAT last 2019. I have always wanted to help others and fulfill my dream for myself and His, to help improve our living conditions and become the pioneer in my family who will enter the uniform service and become a responsible policeman.
