Physical evidence identification, information gathering, evidence gathering, evidence protection, witness interviews, and suspect interviewing and interrogation are all related to investigative duties. There is a lot of paperwork in the investigation department, particularly when creating Case folders, which must be delivered by a specific day and time. We were also instructed on how to file a complaint for the first time.

We intend to focus on the PNP's "quad concept" of targeting investigations in our interview with the station's chief investigator and inquire about how the station manages complaints and cases that have been filed, as well as the best ways to file claims by the law and offer the high-quality community service.

They also reviewed CIRAS's (Crime Incident Reporting and Analysis System) foundational concepts. They demonstrated how the technology encoded suspects' mugshots and discussed how a complaint is encoded in CIRAS and E-ROUGE. We can also track the frequency of criminality and determine which crimes are more prevalent in our area because there is already a system in place like CIRAS that makes it much easier to manage information at the police station than there was before when there was no CIRAS.

All this information, sent to the national headquarters central system, is real-time. The distinction between a crime being cleared and being solved is one of the things I learned from the CIRAS. They contend that a crime is exonerated when at least one culprit has been identified but is still at large.

When sufficient evidence has been gathered to bring charges against him, and when he has appeared before the prosecutor's office or another court with the necessary jurisdiction. A crime is considered solved when all of the following criteria have been met: the criminal has been located, there is sufficient information to bring charges against him, he has been taken into custody, and he has faced charges in a court with the requisite authority.
